International & Transfer Student Apartments Near UConn

Yes! We offer fully furnished apartments featuring stainless steel appliances, designer furniture, quartz countertops, hardwood-style flooring, and in-unit washers and dryers.

We recommend bringing essentials such as your personal belongings, clothing, bedding, toiletries, cookware, dishes, utensils, and decor to make your space feel like home. Our UConn apartments are already furnished with major furniture and appliances, so moving in is quick and easy. Also, don’t forget to bring a photo ID, such as a license or passport, as you’ll need one to check in and receive the keys to your new home.

We lease on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability is often limited. However, we can offer a Non-Enrollment Addendum. This allows you to sign your lease now and secure a spot at our current rates. Then, if you aren’t accepted to UConn, all you have to do is send us proof of non-acceptance, and you’ll be released from your lease. For more information, contact our leasing office!

We offer several options to apply and sign up to live at The Standard at Four Corners! Students can apply with a guarantor as long as they are at least 25 years old, have a U.S. Social Security Number, and pass a credit and income check. Students applying with a guarantor are required to pay a $100 Security Deposit. If you do not have a qualifying guarantor, there are three other ways to qualify!

  • Self-Qualify: If you have a U.S. Social Security Number, make 3x your monthly base rent, and can pass a credit check, you may opt to Self-Qualify. All Self-Qualifying Applicants must provide proof of their income via three consecutive pay stubs and are required to pay a Security Deposit equal to 2 installments of the base rent.
  • Guarantor Waiver Program (GWP): If you are a full-time student and do not have a qualifying guarantor, you may opt to use our GWP. You will need to send proof of Full-Time Enrollment and sign a Guarantor Waiver Program Addendum. GWP Applicants are required to pay an additional monthly fee of $118 and pay a $100 Security Deposit.
  • International (I-20): If you are an International Student who does not have a qualifying guarantor, you may apply with your I-20. International Applicants are required to pay a Security Deposit equal to 2 installments of base rent and send proof of their I-20.

Note that all Security Deposits are refundable, pending your move-out inspection and any damages to your apartment.

While there is no set deadline, our availability and rates are on a first-come, first-served basis. The only way to secure a spot at The Standard at Four Corners is by completing the application and lease in full. We recommend signing as soon as possible, and our team is always happy to help guide you through the application process or answer any questions you may have.

Yes, we are! The Standard at Four Corners boasts a premier location in the heart of Storrs — right next to the University of Connecticut. From here, Huskies can reach class and university resources quickly and easily, whether they walk, bike, or drive.

During the application process, you’ll have the opportunity to list your preferred roommates. Additionally, once approved, you and your roommates will register for RoomSync, our roommate matching program. From there, you can “sync up” on the app, which is what notifies our office that you want to live together!

Our community offers individual, by-the-bed leasing, allowing you to secure your spot independently of your roommates. However, as we operate on a first-come, first-served basis, we cannot hold spots for preferred roommates forever. To increase your chances of living together, we recommend that roommates sign their leases at the same time.

Yes, we offer fully virtual leasing for your convenience. To get started, click the “Apply” button on our website and complete all seven steps of the non-binding application. Once applicable fees are paid and your application is submitted, your lease will be generated. Then, all that’s left is to review and sign the lease documents.
